METHOD

Step 1

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, season with salt and pepper.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and sear until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent.

Step 4

Add sliced mushrooms and continue to sauté until they are tender and browned.

Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture, stir well to combine, and cook for 1 minute to eliminate raw flour taste.

Step 6

Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer.

Step 7

Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream until well blended and creamy.

Step 8

Return the beef to the skillet and cook until heated through.

Step 9

Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 10

Serve the beef stroganoff over the egg noodles and enjoy!
