METHOD

Step 1

Cut and cube a seedless watermelon to make about 6 cups of watermelon cubes.

Step 2

Place the watermelon cubes in a blender, add 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Blend the mixture until smooth. Taste and add more sugar if needed for desired sweetness.

Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp (optional for a smoother texture).

Step 5

Pour the watermelon juice into a shallow baking dish or freezer-safe container.

Step 6

Freeze the mixture for at least 3 hours, stirring and scraping with a fork every hour to break up ice crystals and create a smooth sorbet texture.

Step 7

Once fully frozen, use an ice cream scoop to serve the watermelon sorbet in bowls or cones.
