METHOD

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

Step 3

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade, shaking off excess, and place it in the skillet.

Step 4

Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the middle (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).

Step 5

Remove the chicken from the skillet, and let it rest for a minute. Meanwhile, pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and bring it to a simmer. Let it reduce for about 3-5 minutes until thickened.

Step 6

Serve the chicken drizzled with the balsamic glaze and topped with fresh basil.
