METHOD

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

Step 3

Melt the butter and mix it into the mashed bananas.

Step 4

Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.

Step 6

Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir until just incorporated. Do not overmix!

Step 7

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 9

Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
