METHOD

Step 1

Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.

Step 2

Cut chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and marinate in a mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger for at least 15 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile, chop the red and green bell peppers and onion into chunks suitable for skewering.

Step 4

Alternately thread the marinated chicken, bell peppers, and onion onto the soaked skewers.

Step 5

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.

Step 6

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has grill marks.

Step 7

Brush the skewers with additional teriyaki sauce during the last few minutes of grilling for extra flavor.

Step 8

Remove from the grill, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
