METHOD

Step 1

Flatten chicken breasts to uniform thickness and cut in half to create sandwich-sized pieces.

Step 2

In a bowl, whisk together milk and egg to make an egg wash.

Step 3

In another bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, salt, pepper, and paprika for the flour coating.

Step 4

Dip each piece of chicken in the egg wash, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture, pressing down to adhere well.

Step 5

In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Step 6

Fry each chicken piece for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 7

Remove chicken from oil and drain on paper towels.

Step 8

Butter the hamburger buns and lightly toast them in a separate pan or under a broiler.

Step 9

Place a fried chicken piece on the bottom bun, add two or three dill pickle slices, and cover with the top bun.

Step 10

Serve warm and enjoy your homemade Chick-fil-A sandwich!
