METHOD

Step 1

In a small bowl, dissolve active dry yeast in warm milk and let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt. Gradually add in the all-purpose flour and mix until a dough forms.

Step 3

Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes, either by hand or in a stand mixer with a dough hook, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 90 minutes.

Step 4

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle approximately 16x12 inches.

Step 5

Spread softened butter over the dough, leaving a small border, then sprinkle a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the butter.

Step 6

Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long side. Pinch the seams to seal and cut into 12 equal rolls using dental floss or a sharp knife.

Step 7

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and allow to rise again until doubled in size, about 30-45 minutes.

Step 8

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 9

Pour heavy cream over the risen rolls to keep them soft and gooey, then bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 10

While the rolls bake, prepare the salted caramel by melting soft caramels in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in heavy cream and a pinch of sea salt until smooth and creamy.

Step 11

Once the rolls are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling with your homemade salted caramel sauce.

Step 12

Serve warm, allowing everyone to indulge in their sumptuous, sticky goodness.
