Indulge in this irresistible Thai dessert! Sweet coconut sticky rice paired with luscious mango is a treat for the senses that you won’t be able to resist!
Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Drain the soaked rice and steam it in a bamboo steamer lined with cheesecloth for about 30 minutes until tender.
While the rice is cooking, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, but do not let it boil.
Reserve about 1/4 cup of the coconut sauce for drizzling later, then mix the remaining coconut sauce into the cooked sticky rice until well coated. Let it sit for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Peel and slice the mango into thin strips.
To serve, mold a portion of sticky rice onto a plate, top with mango slices, and drizzle with the reserved coconut sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish. Enjoy!
