Soak 1 cup of glutinous rice in water for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Drain the rice, and steam it for about 20-25 minutes until cooked and sticky.
While rice is cooking, combine 1 cup of coconut milk, 1/3 cup of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves, but do not boil.
Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a bowl and pour in 3/4 of the coconut milk mixture. Stir until the rice absorbs the coconut milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Peel and slice 2 ripe mangoes into thin slices.
To serve, mold a portion of warm sticky rice onto a plate, arrange the mango slices beside it, and drizzle with the remaining coconut milk mixture.
Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top for added texture, if using. Enjoy this delightful sweet mango sticky rice either warm or at room temperature.
