METHOD

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan on low heat, melt 1/2 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter together with 8 oz of bittersweet chocolate, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
