METHOD

Step 1

Heat a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add 3 tablespoons of popcorn kernels and cover with a lid.

Once the first kernel pops, add 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels in an even layer.

Step 4

Cover the pot again, and shake it to ensure even heating.

Step 5

Once popping slows to about 2 seconds between pops, remove the pot from heat.

Step 6

Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a microwave or on the stovetop.

Step 7

Drizzle the melted butter over the popcorn, tossing to coat evenly.

Step 8

Season with salt to taste and toss again.
