Sterilize the jars and lids by submerging them in boiling water for 10 minutes.
In a pot, combine 1 cup of white vinegar, 1 cup of water, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of salt. Bring this mixture to a boil until the sugar and salt dissolve.
In each sterilized jar, add a peeled and slightly crushed garlic clove, 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon of dill seeds, and desired amounts of sliced jalapeños and cucumbers.
Pour the hot vinegar solution into the jars, covering the vegetables completely, leaving about 1/2 inch of headspace.
Seal the jars tightly with the lids and let them cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, refrigerate the jars for at least 24 hours before enjoying your Spicy Jalapeño Pickles. The flavors will intensify over time.
