Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
