Let your slow cooker do the work while you enjoy that amazing BBQ smell wafting through your home! This pulled pork is tender, flavorful, and perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or on its own!
Season the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper on all sides.
In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and chopped onion.
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the slow cooker and pour the BBQ sauce mixture over it.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is very tender and can be easily shredded with a fork.
Once cooked, shred the pork inside the slow cooker using two forks, mixing it with the BBQ sauce.
Serve the pulled pork on buns, in tacos, or plain, drizzled with extra sauce if desired.
