METHOD

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Cut a slit in each Medjool date and remove the pit.

Step 3

Wrap each date with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Step 4

Place the wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 5

Brush the bacon-wrapped dates with maple syrup and sprinkle with black pepper.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.

Step 7

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
